How to Use the Certifier MCP in Cline
Tell Cline to build a UI for your course members. It uses Certifier to fetch and display their credentials right in your app's code.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Certifier MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Certifier to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate UI from Live Credential Data
Cline can use the `search_credentials` tool to get real data for the code it writes. You can point it to an empty component file and say, 'Build a React component that shows the certificates for this user email.' Your agent will hit the Certifier API, get the credential data, and then write the JSX to display it. It doesn't just give you boilerplate; it builds a working component populated with live information. This closes the loop between your external services and your codebase.
Draft Credential Management Scripts
The `create_credential` and `update_credential` tools let you manage certificates programmatically. Instead of writing the script yourself, you can just tell Cline what you need. For example: 'Write a Node.js script that takes an email and template ID and creates a new draft credential.' Cline will generate the script, complete with API calls to this MCP Server. You can review the code, make any tweaks, and then run it. It's a much faster way to build internal admin tools for managing your certificate lifecycle.
On-the-Fly Credential Checks
Because Cline is right in your IDE, you can run quick checks without breaking your flow. Highlight an email address in any open file and ask, 'Does this person have a credential?' Cline will understand the context, grab the email, and use the `search_credentials` tool to get an answer. If it finds a match, it can follow up with `get_credential` for full details. The results appear in the chat, so you get your answer and get right back to coding.
