Analyze massive call histories with Google ADK

Gemini's million-token context window is perfect for analyzing entire communication histories. This MCP Server lets your agent pull thousands of records using `list_calls` and feed them directly into your model for trend analysis. By combining Google ADK with `get_call_stats`, your agent can identify why certain customer support queues are backed up. It processes hours of call metadata in a single run, mapping the results back to your Vertex AI workflows.

Sync customer profiles from Google ADK to BigQuery

Keep your enterprise data lake accurate. Your agent can fetch fresh customer profiles via `get_contact` or `list_contacts`, then write those updates directly to BigQuery tables using Google ADK tools. If the agent finds outdated records in your database, it can trigger `update_contact` or `create_contact` to keep both systems perfectly aligned. This eliminates manual data entry between your communication platform and your data warehouse.

Configure real-time event alerts using this MCP Server

Stop polling for new support tickets. Your agent can call `create_webhook` to register new event listeners, then use `list_webhooks` to ensure your Google Cloud Functions are correctly targeted. This setup allows your Google ADK agent to immediately respond when a customer initiates a chat. You get a fully automated event pipeline that reacts to customer behavior without keeping expensive compute instances running 24/7.

Setup guide

Set up Channels MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Channels tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="Channels_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to Channels tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about Channels MCP in Google ADK

You initialize `McpToolset` using the `StreamableHttpServerParameters` pointing to your Vinkius URL, then pass it to your `LlmAgent` tools array. Your Gemini model immediately gains access to tools like `list_users` and `get_account_info`.
Yes, you can use the `tool_names` filter in your `McpToolset` setup. This lets you expose only read-only tools like `list_contacts` and `get_call_recording` while completely hiding write operations like `delete_contact`.
Because Google ADK supports Gemini's massive context window, you can pull entire call histories with `list_calls` in a single query. The agent can analyze thousands of lines of call logs without running out of memory or losing track of the conversation.
Yes. The server provides `create_webhook` and `list_webhooks` tools. Your agent can programmatically subscribe to communication events and route them to Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
All communication between Google ADK and the MCP Server is encrypted in transit. Vinkius executes the server in a zero-trust, ephemeral environment, meaning your customer phone numbers and `get_contact` payloads never persist on the host system.
