Debate tasks with Cloud BOT in AutoGen

Assign `execute_bot` to a worker agent while a reviewer agent watches the output. They verify if the task succeeded before proceeding. If the job fails, the agents discuss the error. They decide whether to retry or try a different bot based on the `get_job_status` feedback.

Coordinate bots with AutoGen agents

Use `list_bots` to inform your agents of available capabilities. They negotiate which one to use for a requested web task. This prevents redundant work. A planning agent identifies the objective, and a technical agent executes the specific bot call.

Monitor automation with AutoGen

Your agents call `list_jobs` to track progress across multiple browser tasks. They keep the conversation updated on completion status. This keeps your multi-agent system in sync. Every agent knows the current state of the cloud execution without manual checks.

Setup guide

Set up Cloud BOT MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes Cloud BOT tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="Cloud BOT_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent Cloud BOT data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

Common questions about Cloud BOT MCP in AutoGen

You pass the tool list to your AssistantAgent. The agents automatically negotiate who uses the tools based on the current task.
Yes, a reviewer agent can inspect the output and force a re-run. They treat the tool output as a starting point for debate.
The server uses standard HTTP transport. You define the URL, and the adapter handles the tool schema automatically.
