How to Use the Cody AI MCP in Windsurf
Control your Cody AI knowledge bases directly from Windsurf using this managed MCP server.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Cody AI MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Cody AI to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Sync web docs via the Cody AI MCP Server
`import_webpage` lets Cascade pull external documentation directly into your Cody folders. Cascade starts the import, then uses `get_document_status` to track when the file finishes processing. This chain happens without you babying the terminal. If a library updates, Cascade grabs the URL, updates your knowledge base, and verifies the sync status before writing any code.
Run support simulations in Windsurf
`create_conversation` spins up a direct test session with any bot listed in your account. Cascade initiates the session, then uses `send_message` to feed it user queries and verify responses. You don't need to jump back and forth to a web browser to test your bot's behavior. The tool feeds the raw message history through `list_messages` so Cascade can analyze the exact output.
Manage bots and folders in one view
`list_bots` retrieves all your active Cody AI bots and exposes their metadata to Cascade. Your agent uses `get_bot_details` to inspect configuration details, while `list_folders` maps your entire document hierarchy. Instead of manual organization, Cascade parses this structure to find where raw data belongs. It can identify empty folders or find which bot has access to specific files.
