Pipe Ledger Balances to Shell Scripts

`column_get_balance` outputs raw ledger data directly to your stdout so you can pipe bank balances to jq or grep. Claude Code runs this tool in headless environments to monitor account health from cron jobs. The CLI agent combines this with `column_list_transfers` to export raw transaction logs into CSV files for your accounting team. Running one shell command allows the agent to handle the API calls and formatting.

Script Batch ACH Payouts via Column MCP Server

`column_create_ach_transfer` fires ACH transactions directly from your command line without an external script wrapper. Claude Code loops through your local payment files and triggers transfers for each record in order. The terminal client runs `column_simulate_ach` inside your sandbox CI/CD pipelines to verify transaction routing logic before deployment. This simulation monitors the status and reports back automatically.

Manage Bank Accounts and Entities from CLI

`column_create_bank_account` provisions a new demand deposit account directly from your terminal session. Claude Code inputs your routing requirements and returns the raw account details as JSON output. The agent calls `column_create_entity` to register business entities before linking them to the newly provisioned accounts. You run this entire provisioning sequence headless inside a Docker container or SSH terminal.

Common questions about Column MCP in Claude Code

Yes, Claude Code calls `column_create_ach_transfer` to initiate bank transfers directly from your terminal. You pass the routing and account details as plain text arguments.
Claude Code runs `column_get_balance` to print the current settled funds directly to your terminal. You can easily pipe this numeric value to other command-line utilities.
Yes, Claude Code executes `column_simulate_ach` to trigger inbound sandbox transfers during terminal testing. This lets you mock settlement events without writing custom testing scripts.
Claude Code uses `column_get_statement` to download PDF statements or retrieve artifact metadata. The agent displays the download links directly in your shell.
No financial ledger data or transaction histories are saved on the Vinkius platform or local CLI caches. Your requests run through a secure, ephemeral V8 container that discards memory state immediately after execution.
