How to Use the CometChat MCP in Cline
Cline builds features faster by connecting directly to your CometChat instance.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect CometChat MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect CometChat to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Cline automates CometChat user flows
Cline uses `create_user` and `deactivate_user` to manage your user base as part of its coding tasks. It performs these actions as part of a larger plan to set up your environment. Running `list_users` allows the agent to find specific accounts for testing. It then pipes that information into the files it writes.
Programmatic group management for Cline
The agent invokes `create_group` to build chat infrastructure during its build process. It writes the code and then verifies the setup by calling `get_group_details`. Everything stays within your VS Code sidebar. The agent handles the back-and-forth so you can focus on the architectural logic.
Message handling through Cline
Use `send_message` to have Cline push test data into your chat system automatically. It verifies that your API integrations are active without manual input. `list_messages` fetches the history for your current project task. Cline uses these logs to debug message handling logic within your components.
