Write code against live Conductor definitions in Cursor

This MCP Server lets your Cursor agent pull live schemas using `get_workflow_definition` and `get_task_definition` while you write code. The editor injects real JSON structures directly into your files so you don't write code against stale, mock data. When you write a new worker, Cursor calls `get_all_queues` to understand your queue topology. It then generates typed TypeScript or Java code that matches your actual production Conductor setup.

Debug running workflows inside the Cursor terminal

This tool suite exposes `get_workflow` and `get_task_logs` to let your Cursor agent debug failed executions without leaving the editor. When a local test fails, the agent pulls the exact execution path and highlights the failing task in your editor sidebar. You can ask the agent to run `rerun_workflow` from the failed step. Cursor executes the call and monitors the new run, showing you the updated log lines as they arrive.

Register event handlers via Cursor Agent

This MCP Server allows your Cursor agent to manage event-driven architectures using `create_event_handler` and `update_event_handler`. As you draft your microservice code, the agent creates the matching queue listeners in Conductor. If you delete an event-driven service, Cursor runs `delete_event_handler` to clean up the orchestration layer. This keeps your codebase and your Conductor topology perfectly aligned.

Setup guide

Set up Conductor (Netflix OSS) MCP in Cursor

Prerequisites

  • Cursor installed (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token

  2. 2

Add the Conductor (Netflix OSS) MCP

Cursor will create or open .cursor/mcp.json in your project root. Paste the JSON snippet on the right. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Enable Agent mode

Open Composer (Cmd+I / Ctrl+I) and switch to Agent mode using the dropdown at the top. MCP tools are only available in Agent mode.

  4. 4

Common questions about Conductor (Netflix OSS) MCP in Cursor

Add the MCP Server configuration to your `.cursor/mcp.json` file in your repository root. Once saved, Cursor Agent mode can immediately access `get_workflow_definitions` to help you write integration tests.
Yes, in Agent mode, Cursor can read the error logs using `get_task_logs`, edit your local worker code to fix the bug, and then run `retry_workflow` to verify the fix.
When you edit a workflow file, the MCP connection uses `validate_workflow_definition` to check your JSON. The agent displays validation errors directly inline, preventing you from committing broken workflow structures.
Ask the agent to run `get_correlated_workflows` with your ID. Cursor displays a list of matching execution objects in the chat panel, allowing you to jump straight to the broken execution.
Cursor interacts with your workflow definitions and task logs through a secure, single-endpoint token managed by Vinkius. Your sensitive execution JSON is processed in memory via the MCP Server during your active editor session and is never stored or used for model training.
