Generate type-safe code from ContentStack schemas

The `get_content_type_details` tool fetches the raw schema definition of any content model directly into your Cline workspace. Cline reads this schema to understand the exact field types, validation rules, and relationships of your ContentStack structures. Cline then writes TypeScript interfaces and React components that match this schema perfectly, eliminating manual typing errors. It eliminates the guesswork of handling localized fields or nested group components.

Sync local mock data with live ContentStack entries

The `list_entries` tool retrieves real content records from your stack so Cline can populate your local development server with actual production data. You don't have to manually copy-paste text or download JSON files to build realistic mockups. Cline reads the returned entries, saves them to local JSON fixtures, and updates your mock server configuration. This ensures your components render realistic content lengths and image layouts during local testing.

Update your ContentStack MCP Server schemas from VS Code

This MCP Server provides `update_entry` and `create_entry` to let Cline edit content models and entries directly from your VS Code terminal. When you modify a local component structure, Cline updates the corresponding fields in ContentStack to keep them in sync. Cline runs these updates sequentially, checking the stack configuration with `get_stack_info` before applying any changes. You get a clean diff in your sidebar before Cline pushes the modifications to your live environment.

Common questions about ContentStack (Management) MCP in Cline

Open the Cline sidebar, click the MCP Servers icon, and navigate to the Remote Servers tab. Paste the Vinkius connection URL to configure the server, or edit your `cline_mcp_settings.json` file directly to add the credentials.
No, this server manages content entries and assets, so it does not support creating new schemas from scratch. Cline uses `list_content_types` to inspect existing structures, but you must define new content models in the ContentStack web UI.
Cline uses `get_entry_details` to read localized fields, then applies updates to specific locale keys using `update_entry`. You must specify the target locale in your prompt, and Cline will structure the payload to update only that language version.
Yes, you can instruct Cline to call `publish_entry` with your staging environment name. Cline will first run `list_environments` to verify the target exists, then trigger the publish action and display the API response status in your sidebar.
No, Cline only interacts with your ContentStack entries and schemas through the secure Vinkius gateway. All management tokens are encrypted at rest on Vinkius, and the V8 sandbox ensures that your content payload is processed ephemerally without persistent storage.
