How to Use the Coolify MCP in Cline
Let Cline manage your self-hosted Coolify builds and server nodes directly from your VS Code sidebar.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Coolify MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Coolify to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automate build pipelines with this MCP Server
Triggering a build with the `trigger_deployment` tool pulls your latest Git commits and rebuilds your Nixpacks image. Cline triggers this build directly when you ask it to push a local bug fix to production. Cline doesn't just run the build. It checks `get_application` to monitor the assigned Traefik reverse proxy paths and verifies the deployment succeeded.
Link databases to your codebases
Reading configuration schemas with `get_database` extracts details for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis. Cline reads these details to write matching database client code in your workspace. By calling `list_databases`, Cline finds the correct connection strings. It then writes the database connection logic, tests the integration, and commits the code to your repository.
Manage container lifecycles from VS Code
Halting container execution with `stop_application` suspends web perimeter ingress immediately. Cline invokes this tool if it detects critical test failures or security alerts during a local run. Using this MCP tool, Cline uses `start_application` or `restart_application` to bring your services back online. This updates your running container states with your latest environment configurations.
