How to Use the COR MCP in Google ADK
Connect Google ADK agents to your agency data for real-time margin analysis.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect COR MCP to Google ADK
Create your Vinkius account to connect COR to Google ADK and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Google ADK agents and COR project oversight
Call `get_cor_project` to bring specific job details into your Gemini-powered agent. It pulls the exact data you need for informed decision-making. Your agent uses `list_cor_projects` to scan the board. It identifies which jobs are active and which ones have stalled.
Analyze time logs with Google ADK
Execute `list_cor_time_entries` to pull hours worked into your BigQuery-connected agent. It gives you the raw numbers required for profit margin calculations. Use `list_cor_task_types` to categorize those hours. Your agent sorts the data so you can see exactly where labor costs spike.
Google ADK tool filtering for COR
Restrict your agent's scope by using a tool name filter when you initialize the `McpToolset`. It keeps the agent focused on only the tools you authorize. This setup works perfectly for both Stdio and HTTP transports. You decide how the agent talks to your data.
Set up COR MCP in Google ADK
Prerequisites
- Python 3.10+ installed
-
google-adkpackage (pip install google-adk) - Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
- 1
Install Google ADK
Run
pip install google-adkto install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via theMcpToolsetclass. - 2
Connect via SSE transport
Use
McpToolset.from_server()withSseServerParamspointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. - 3
Create an LlmAgent
Pass the returned
mcp_toolslist directly toLlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required. - 4
Run with any Gemini model
The agent works with any Gemini model (
gemini-2.0-flash,gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with COR tools in your ADK agent.
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams
# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
connection_params=SseServerParams(
url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)
)
# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
name="COR_agent",
model="gemini-2.0-flash",
instruction="You have access to COR tools via MCP.",
tools=mcp_tools,
