Send notifications from a chat prompt

The `send_notification` tool lets your agent fire off emails, SMS, or push notifications. Just tell it who to message and what to say. It uses your existing Courier templates and recipient profiles. You don't need to write any code or dig up API keys. Your agent handles the `send_notification` call, pulling from your configured templates with `list_templates` and finding the right user with `get_user_profile`. It's a direct line to your Courier account.

Get real-time delivery status

Find out exactly what happened to a message. The `get_message_details` tool pulls the full delivery log, including the raw response from the email or push provider. No more guessing if it actually went through. You can also ask for a summary. Your agent can use `get_message_history` to track a message from 'sent' to 'delivered' to 'opened.' Or, use `list_messages` to get a quick overview of recent sends and their current status.

Manage Courier from Claude Desktop

Set up Courier MCP in Claude Web or Desktop

Open Claude Settings

Go to claude.ai, click your profile icon, then navigate to Customize → Connectors.

Add Custom Connector

Click the "+" button and select Add custom connector. Paste your Vinkius endpoint URL: https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. For OAuth-protected servers, expand Advanced settings to add credentials.

Start a conversation

Open a new chat. The Courier MCP tools are available immediately — no restart needed.

Open Claude Desktop Settings

Click the menu icon at the top-left corner, go to Settings → Developer → Edit Config. This opens claude_desktop_config.json in your default text editor.

Paste the Courier MCP configuration

Copy the JSON snippet on the right into the mcpServers object. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

Restart Claude Desktop

Close and reopen the application. Claude needs a full restart to load new MCPs — refreshing a conversation is not enough.

Verify the connection

Open a new conversation. Click the 🔌 icon at the bottom of the message input. You should see tools listed under courier-mcp.
