Documentation That Writes Itself

Tell Cline to document the function it just wrote. It will connect to this MCP Server, use `create_document` to make a new page in your Craft knowledge base, and then `append_block` to add explanations, code snippets, and usage examples. It's all part of one seamless workflow. Because Cline understands the code it's working on, the documentation it generates is actually useful. It’s not just boilerplate. Your agent handles the tedious part of documenting your work, so your team's knowledge base stays up to date without extra effort.

Pull Project Context Directly from Your Notes

Your agent can read your Craft docs to understand what to build. Before writing any code, Cline can use `search_documents` to find the right spec or `get_document` to pull the full text of a project brief. This gives your agent the guardrails it needs to complete a task correctly. This turns your Craft workspace into active context for your coding agent. It stops you from having to copy-paste requirements into the prompt. Just point Cline to the task and it will find the relevant docs on its own.

Keep Your Coding in Sync with Your Cline MCP Server

Cline can check your team's priorities right from VS Code. With the `list_tasks` tool, your agent can see what's on the agenda in Craft before it starts a new coding session. You can even ask it to 'summarize my open tasks for the reporting service'. Use this to kick off your day. Ask Cline to fetch the `get_daily_note` and list your priorities. It’s a direct line between your planning space in Craft and your workspace in VS Code, connected by your agent.
