How to Use the Crowdin MCP in Cline
Let Cline build UIs with live data from your Crowdin projects. It pulls translation stats and writes the code to display them in your app.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Crowdin MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Crowdin to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build Live Status Dashboards
Tell Cline to build a localization status dashboard. It'll use the `list_projects` and `list_project_files` tools to fetch real-time translation progress from your Crowdin account. Then, it writes the actual code—a React component, a Vue template, whatever you need. Cline doesn't just show you the data; it builds the thing that displays the data, complete with API calls and tests.
Script Project Audits with Your MCP Server
You can use Cline to run audits on your Crowdin setup. Ask it to "find all projects that don't have a glossary" or "list TMs that haven't been updated." It chains tools like `list_projects`, `list_glossaries`, and `list_translation_memories` to get the answers. This MCP Server gives Cline the read-access it needs to perform these checks. It's like having an assistant who can not only answer questions about your localization setup but also write the scripts to monitor it.
Generate Reports On-Demand
Instead of manually generating reports in Crowdin, just ask Cline to do it. Tell it, "Get me the latest translation cost report for the 'WebApp' project," and it will use `list_project_reports` to find and present the data. This is perfect for quick checks during development or for getting numbers for a meeting without context switching. Cline fetches the info and you stay in your editor, focused on your code.
