A shared maritime context for your team
This MCP server connects Copilot to live maritime intelligence. The real power comes from shared configuration. Commit the server details to your project's `.vscode/mcp.json` file, and every developer on your team instantly gets the same tools. Now anyone can ask Copilot's agent to `search_maritime_vessels` by name or pull a ship's complete voyage with `get_vessel_history`. It standardizes access to critical data and eliminates one-off setups, keeping your whole team in sync.
Prototype APIs with real data
Stop writing code against outdated API docs or mock objects. With this server, your team can ask the agent to call `get_port_details` or `get_vessel_status` and see the exact JSON response. It removes all the guesswork. This workflow ensures that when a developer writes an integration, it's based on the actual data structure. The agent can even generate the corresponding types or classes for you, directly in the editor. It's a faster, more reliable way to build.
Run quick lookups without leaving VS Code
Sometimes you just need a quick answer while you're coding. Is a ship in the right area? What are the coordinates for the Port of Singapore? Instead of switching contexts to a browser or another application, just ask Copilot. Using Agent mode, you can ask a direct question like, 'Copilot, `find_vessels_in_radius` of these coordinates.' The agent uses the tool and gives you the answer right there. This MCP server makes your editor a single, powerful interface for both coding and data queries.
