Connect Date Utils Engine MCP to VS Code Copilot
Create your Vinkius account to connect Date Utils Engine to VS Code Copilot and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
One Config for the Whole Team
Put an end to 'it works on my machine' date bugs. By adding this MCP Server to your project's `.vscode/mcp.json` file, every developer on the team gets the same set of deterministic date tools. When one person uses Copilot to calculate a date with `add_days`, it's the exact same logic as when a teammate does it. This shared MCP config creates a single source of truth for calendar math in your repo.
Reliable Date Math for VS Code Copilot
Ask Copilot to figure out complex date differences right in your editor. The `diff_dates` tool calculates the precise duration between two dates, down to the second. It's perfect for when you're working on billing logic, analytics queries, or anything that requires you to know the exact amount of time that has passed. Copilot's agent gets the number from the tool and puts it right where you need it.
Validate and Convert in One Step
You can chain tool calls together to handle messy data. For instance, ask VS Code Copilot's agent to take a date string, validate it with `parse_date`, and then convert it to a different timezone with `to_timezone`. Your agent performs the sequence and hands you back the final, correct string. You get clean, reliable data without having to write a multi-step script or run a debugger.
