How to Use the Daytona (Dev Workspaces) MCP in Cursor
Control your Daytona dev environments directly from the Cursor editor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Daytona (Dev Workspaces) MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Daytona (Dev Workspaces) to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build and resize Daytona sandboxes in Cursor
Trigger `create_sandbox` to spin up a fresh environment while you write code. If your project grows, call `resize_sandbox` to adjust your CPU and memory limits on the fly. Keep your project files organized by using `list_sandboxes_paginated` to view your active instances. It is the fastest way to switch contexts between different feature branches.
Sync Daytona API keys within Cursor
Manage your authentication credentials using `create_api_key` and `list_api_keys` without leaving your editor. You can verify your current session details by running `get_current_api_key`. If you need to rotate your security tokens, `delete_api_key` lets you prune old access points. This keeps your Cursor integration clean and secure.
Fork and recover Daytona sandboxes
Use `fork_sandbox` to create a copy of an existing environment for testing new ideas. If a sandbox enters a bad state, `recover_sandbox` attempts to bring it back online. This workflow ensures your primary workspace remains stable. You can inspect any sandbox status with `get_sandbox` to catch issues before they stop your progress.
