How to Use the DBeaver (CloudBeaver) MCP in Cursor
Generate code using live database schemas and export query results directly inside Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect DBeaver (CloudBeaver) MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect DBeaver (CloudBeaver) to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject live database schemas into Cursor Agent
The `get_connection_info` tool provides the Cursor agent with structural metadata and connection statuses directly from your CloudBeaver instance. When you write SQL or backend models, your agent reads active connection configurations to generate accurate, schema-matched code instead of guessing table structures. By pairing this with `get_driver_list`, the agent knows exactly which SQL dialect to write, whether it's PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle. You get functional, syntax-perfect database code written directly into your editor files based on real-time MCP Server capabilities.
Query and export data using Cursor MCP Server tools
The `data_transfer_export_data_from_results` tool lets Cursor trigger server-side exports of your SQL query results during active coding sessions. When you test a query in Cursor's terminal or chat, your agent exports the output into CSV or JSON files for immediate inspection. The agent uses `data_transfer_available_stream_processors` to find the exact formats your CloudBeaver server supports before running the export. This puts live query payloads directly into your workspace directory, eliminating the need to manually export files from an external database GUI.
Provision test databases and users during development
The `create_user` tool allows Cursor to set up temporary test accounts on your CloudBeaver server while you build and debug user management features. Your agent creates these accounts, tests your application's authentication flows, and cleans up after itself. To manage these test environments, the agent calls `delete_user` or `create_team` to mimic complex multi-tenant setups. This lets you test permission-gated code paths directly inside your editor, relying on actual server responses rather than brittle local mock environments.
