How to Use the DeepL MCP in Cursor
Translate code comments, HTML files, and UI strings using DeepL directly inside Cursor agent mode.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect DeepL MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect DeepL to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Translate HTML without breaking tags using the MCP Server
The server runs `translate_html_markup` to translate paragraph blocks and button labels while leaving your code classes untouched inside Cursor. To keep your localizations accurate, Cursor queries `get_target_languages` to verify which locales your codebase supports. The agent then writes clean, translated markup directly into your active editor tab.
Auto-apply company glossaries to code files
This tool calls `get_account_glossaries` to inspect your active dictionaries from the Cursor chat panel. If the agent needs to verify a specific word pairing, it triggers `get_glossary_dictionary`. This pulls the exact term mappings directly into your Cursor chat, so you can debug translation issues without opening a browser.
Control translation tone in your editor chat
This integration runs `translate_text_formal` or `translate_text_informal` to adapt the tone of your UI copy programmatically inside Cursor. For general localization tasks, the editor defaults to `translate_text_standard` to keep things neutral. You get context-aware UI strings written straight to your JSON translation files during your coding sessions.
