How to Use the Descope (Auth Platform) MCP in Cline
Tell Cline to build features that need user auth. It will use this Descope server to write the code, run the flows, and stage the commit.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Descope (Auth Platform) MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Descope (Auth Platform) to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build and Test Auth Flows End-to-End
This server connects Cline to your Descope project's auth logic. Now you can ask it to build a login component. Cline will use tools like `auth_password_signin` or `auth_otp_signin_email` to scaffold the API calls directly into your code. It goes beyond just writing code. You can tell Cline, "Test the password reset flow." It will use `auth_password_reset` to trigger the reset and then write a test file that confirms the logic works, all within your VS Code workspace.
Manage Descope Users with this MCP Server
Stop switching to a web dashboard to manage test users. With this MCP Server, you can tell Cline to "create a test user with email 'test@example.com'." It'll run `mgmt_create_user` and confirm it's done, right in the chat. Need to clean up? Just say, "delete the test user 'test@example.com'." Cline finds the user ID with `mgmt_get_user` and then removes them with `mgmt_delete_user`. It's a direct line to your Descope user base from your editor.
Implement OAuth and WebAuthn
This server gives Cline the tools to implement advanced authentication. Ask it to "add Google OAuth login." Cline can use `auth_oauth_authorize` to generate the correct redirect URL and then `auth_oauth_exchange` to handle the callback and get a session token. The same applies to modern standards like WebAuthn. Cline can use `auth_webauthn_signup_start` and `auth_webauthn_signup_finish` to generate the code for registering a new passkey. You get working, tested code for complex flows without having to read the docs yourself.
