How to Use the Donorbox MCP in Cursor
Write code using live Donorbox donation data and campaign schemas directly inside your Cursor editor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Donorbox MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Donorbox to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject real Donorbox data into your Cursor code
Stop writing code against fake mock objects or stale JSON files. When you use Cursor in Agent mode, this MCP Server lets the editor pull live production data directly using `list_donorbox_donations` to populate your local variables. You can ask Cursor to generate a React dashboard component, and it will use `quick_campaign_performance_audit` to write code that handles real-world Donorbox API shapes. This means fewer runtime errors when you deploy your fundraising pages.
Build donor workflows with live editor context
Writing integrations for donor management gets much faster when your Cursor editor understands your actual Donorbox database. Cursor calls `list_registered_donors` to understand the exact structure of your donor profiles while you write backend scripts. If you need to build a custom email notification system, the Cursor editor uses `search_donors_by_email` to check your query logic works against real Donorbox records. You get working code on the first try without constant trial-and-error.
Test recurring subscription logic inside Cursor
Subscription migrations are risky, but having live plan data in your editor helps. This MCP Server uses `list_recurring_donation_plans` to let you inspect active subscription shapes while writing your Cursor sync scripts. The Cursor agent can query `list_active_subscription_plans` to check live statuses, letting you write precise logic to handle failed Donorbox payments or plan updates before shipping to production.
