How to Use the Dovetail MCP in Cursor
Inject real Dovetail user insights directly into your Cursor codebase to build features based on verified qualitative data.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Dovetail MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Dovetail to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Pull Dovetail project data directly into Cursor
The `list_projects` tool exposes your entire qualitative Dovetail research directory to the Cursor agent as you write code using this MCP Server. You don't need to guess which product features correspond to user feedback when the Dovetail repository is available in Cursor.
Log user feedback using this MCP Server
The `create_note` tool lets you push raw bug reports or customer quotes from your Cursor terminal directly into Dovetail. Your Cursor agent can capture feedback during local testing and log it to Dovetail without forcing you to open a web browser.
Track research contributors inside Cursor
The `list_workspace_members` tool queries your Dovetail team directory to assign ownership to new research notes within Cursor. You can automatically tag the correct Dovetail project owner when logging a user issue from your Cursor workspace.
