Connect Drip MCP to AutoGen

Create your Vinkius account to connect Drip to AutoGen and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.

GDPR Free for Subscribers

Debate subscriber updates in AutoGen

Let your agents negotiate changes to your subscriber list. One agent can propose a `create_or_update_subscriber` call while another verifies the data against your internal policies. This prevents accidental changes. By forcing a debate, you ensure that every update to your Drip account has been reviewed by your multi-agent team.

Coordinate workflows via MCP Server

Use the MCP Server to let your agents audit and trigger marketing workflows. Agents can call `list_workflows` to identify what is active before launching a new event. This ensures your agents act in concert. They can confirm the current state of your Drip account before they commit to any automated actions.

Execute event logging through consensus

Record interactions only after your agents reach an agreement. When a user interacts with your product, the agents debate the event type before calling `record_event`. This adds a layer of validation to your data. You avoid logging duplicate or incorrect events because your agents reach a consensus before hitting the API.

Setup guide

Set up Drip MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes Drip tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="Drip_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent Drip data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

Common questions about Drip MCP in AutoGen

You provide the tool definitions to your agents. They then decide which tools to call, and the adapter handles the communication with the server.
Yes. You can share the tool list across your agent group. This allows different agents to collaborate on managing your marketing operations.
They will if you set them up to do so. You can define a critic agent that reviews tool call arguments before they are sent to the API.
Install the MCP extension, configure your endpoint, and pass the tools to your AssistantAgent. It integrates directly into the conversation loop.
The server uses a zero-trust architecture. Every call is authenticated and ephemeral, meaning your subscriber interaction logs are processed without being stored locally.
