Connect Duolingo MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Duolingo to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Query the Duolingo MCP Server in Agent Mode
The `get_user_by_username` tool pulls real-time profile statistics and skill progress into your active Cursor session. This allows the editor's Agent mode to write code using actual JSON structures instead of placeholder mock data. If you need to build lookup functions, `get_user_by_id` gets identical profile schemas via numeric IDs. Cursor reads this live payload to write accurate data parsers and UI components on your first try.
Build Flashcard Apps with Live Translations
The `get_dictionary_hints` tool translates specific word tokens across major language codes directly inside your editor. Your Cursor MCP client uses these live translation pairs to populate local database seeds and test suites. You can also run `get_version_info` to check supported API capabilities before writing your translation logic. This ensures your code handles language codes correctly without runtime exceptions.
Integrate Social Features and Leaderboards
The `get_friends` tool gets usernames, active streaks, and XP totals for any specified user ID. Cursor uses this live connection to help you write and test social widgets without manually copying test profiles. To build competitive features, `get_daily_leaderboard` and `get_leaderboard` pull current standings and weekly tiers. This lets your agent generate complete ranking tables and sorting algorithms using live production data.
