Connect EBI Proteins API MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect EBI Proteins API to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automated Protein Annotation
Cline uses `get_protein_features` to pull site-specific data for your code. It reads the domain structure and active sites directly from UniProt, allowing you to build components that reflect current scientific knowledge. You avoid manual parsing of flatfiles. The agent handles the JSON response, injecting the relevant metadata into your source files automatically.
Mass Spectrometry Data Integration
Validate your proteomics results using Cline. It uses `get_proteomics` and `get_proteomics_ptm` to verify peptide detection and post-translational modification sites. You get experimental evidence for every residue you analyze. These tools enable the agent to cross-check your mass-spec findings. It flags discrepancies by comparing your local results against the EBI database records.
Rapid Proteome Exploration
Query entire proteomes with `get_proteome` or `search_proteomes`. Cline uses these to build project indexes or verify gene counts for specific organisms. It automates the discovery process for your bioinformatics pipeline. You simply define the organism name. The agent resolves the ID and pulls the corresponding proteome details without you needing to browse external databases.
