Decompose tasks with Estimation Prover in VS Code
Your team uses `validate_estimation` to break down large features into units under two days. This prevents the team from burying risk in large, vague tickets. By forcing this structure, you make technical debt visible early. You stop the planning fallacy before it reaches your repository.
Apply mandatory buffers in VS Code
The `validate_estimation` tool forces a specific contingency buffer on every estimate. You get a clear, mathematical approach to risk for every task. If an estimate doesn't include a buffer of at least 20%, the tool rejects the plan. You force the agent to treat unknowns as reality, not exceptions.
Standardize planning in VS Code
Commit your `.vscode/mcp.json` to the repo to share this tool with the whole team. Every developer gets the same `validate_estimation` rigor for their work. This forces a shared language for project risk. You stop individual optimism from skewing the team's entire delivery timeline.
