How to Use the Etherscan MCP in Google ADK
Integrate blockchain intelligence into your Google ADK pipelines. Directly query Etherscan for enterprise-grade agent analysis.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Etherscan MCP to Google ADK
Create your Vinkius account to connect Etherscan to Google ADK and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Chain analytics for Google ADK agents
Access historical transaction data through `get_tx_list_internal` or `get_token_tx`. Your Google ADK agents can now pull chain history to inform their decision-making process. This MCP Server bridges the gap between your cloud infrastructure and the Ethereum network. It provides clean data access for your complex agent workflows.
Native tool integration for Google ADK
Use the `McpToolset` to map blockchain data to your agents. You can filter tool access or expose all 19 endpoints for full chain visibility. This setup allows your agent to query `get_block_number` or `get_logs` as if they were local functions. It fits right into your existing Google Cloud architecture.
Automated contract verification for Google ADK
Deploy agents that inspect contract source code automatically. Use `verify_source_code` to ensure that contract deployments match their published counterparts. This gives your Google ADK agent the power to validate on-chain activity. It replaces manual checks with reliable, machine-readable responses.
Set up Etherscan MCP in Google ADK
Prerequisites
- Python 3.10+ installed
-
google-adkpackage (pip install google-adk) - Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
- 1
Install Google ADK
Run
pip install google-adkto install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via theMcpToolsetclass. - 2
Connect via SSE transport
Use
McpToolset.from_server()withSseServerParamspointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. - 3
Create an LlmAgent
Pass the returned
mcp_toolslist directly toLlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required. - 4
Run with any Gemini model
The agent works with any Gemini model (
gemini-2.0-flash,gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Etherscan tools in your ADK agent.
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams
# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
connection_params=SseServerParams(
url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)
)
# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
name="Etherscan_agent",
model="gemini-2.0-flash",
instruction="You have access to Etherscan tools via MCP.",
tools=mcp_tools,
