Connect FamilySearch API MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect FamilySearch API to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Execute genealogical research with Cline
Cline acts as your research assistant by interacting directly with the FamilySearch API. You tell it who to find, and it runs `search_persons` to grab the correct records. Once the person is identified, Cline uses `get_person_details` to populate your local files. It handles the data parsing, so you get clean information every time.
Sync memories and stories automatically
Need to attach photos or stories to your tree? Cline uses `get_person_memories` to fetch associated media and organizes them based on your instructions. It performs the entire retrieval process in one go. You define the target person, and the agent does the rest, creating a complete archive of your family history.
Manage record collections with ease
Cline makes it simple to audit available records. By using `list_historical_collections`, it identifies which databases are relevant to your specific research goals. This keeps your workspace organized. You won't have to manage raw API responses manually, as Cline formats the data into usable components or documentation.
