Connect Fauna (Serverless DB) MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Fauna (Serverless DB) to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build typed queries in Cursor with live schema data
The `execute_fql` tool gives your editor direct access to your database schema. Your agent runs queries to inspect collections, ensuring the TypeScript types it generates match your actual database documents. Instead of relying on outdated offline documentation, the editor checks the live database state. This prevents runtime type errors before you even commit your code.
Test FQL queries directly in the editor chat
Writing database queries becomes much faster when you run the `execute_fql` tool inside the Cursor composer. You ask the agent to test a query, and it executes the FQL against your dev database immediately. The response displays right in your sidebar. If the query runs slowly, the agent rewrites the FQL to use your defined indexes, optimizing performance on the fly.
Automate migrations using this MCP Server
Database migrations no longer require switching to a separate CLI tool when you run this MCP Server. Your agent reads your local migration files and runs the `execute_fql` tool to apply them. This keeps your database schema perfectly synced with your current git branch. You write the code, and the editor handles the database updates.
