Look up official carrier profiles using Cline
The `lookup_filer_by_id` tool lets Cline fetch official FCC Form 499 registration data using a unique filer ID. Cline reads the returned JSON, parses the active status, and writes the compliance details directly into your VS Code workspace. If the filer ID is invalid, Cline stops the run and alerts you. It uses the exact FCC API response to document the non-compliant carrier in your workspace.
Match vendor lists via the FCC Telecom MCP Server
This MCP Server includes the `search_telecom_filers` tool to let Cline run fuzzy brand searches across the national database. Cline takes a plain-text list of internet providers, matches them to official entities, and updates your local database schema. Every step of the telecom verification task is handled end-to-end by Cline. It writes the script, executes the search, and commits the clean provider data to your repository.
Build automated compliance reports inside VS Code
The `search_telecom_filers` and `lookup_filer_by_id` tools give Cline the data it needs to build local audit dashboards. Cline fetches the telecom records, generates a Markdown report, and shows you the exact diff before saving. You do not have to write boilerplate API integration code for FCC lookups. By interacting with the tools directly, Cline gives you verified regulatory data without leaving your editor.
