Coordinate agents using FinLegal tools

Assign `create_claim` and `list_activities` to your specialized agents. One agent manages data entry while another verifies the status against existing templates. This multi-agent setup forces deliberation. The system checks the constraints of your legal finance workflow before executing any write operations.

Negotiate claim status via MCP Server

Use `get_case` to feed information to multiple agents. They debate the claim's viability based on the attributes returned by `list_attribute_templates`. You get a consensus-based decision. The agents challenge each other's interpretations of the case data, ensuring you don't miss critical funding risks.

Manage contacts through agent debate

Have your agents verify `get_contact` data before triggering `update_contact`. This prevents accidental overwrites when multiple stakeholders are involved in a case. The agents act as a gatekeeper. They ensure that every update to your contact database adheres to the firm's strict internal policies.

Setup guide

Set up FinLegal MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes FinLegal tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="FinLegal_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent FinLegal data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

Common questions about FinLegal MCP in AutoGen

The McpToolAdapter automatically converts the server schema into agent-callable tools. Your agents then discuss which tool, such as `list_claims`, to use.
Yes, you can share the same toolset across multiple agents. They will coordinate internally to decide who calls `create_activity`.
Just install the mcp-ext package and pass the server URL. The agents handle the rest of the negotiation and tool execution.
Agents receive the error output and discuss it. They can automatically retry or escalate to a human if the tool call fails.
All communications between your agent swarm and the server are encrypted. The system only exposes the specific contact and claim endpoints defined in your configuration.
