Automated site monitoring in Windsurf

Cascade uses `initiate_crawl` to scan your targets. It pulls the latest state into your current context without manual intervention. Once the scan finishes, you can use `list_changes` to see exactly what shifted. It saves you from digging through logs manually.

Visual change tracking for Windsurf

The `list_snapshots` tool lets you compare historical site versions. You see the visual delta immediately within your IDE workspace. When a change requires action, `acknowledge_alert` clears the notification. You keep your focus on the actual code instead of clearing clutter.

Manage your security categories

Use `create_category` to group your sites by environment or risk level. It keeps your monitoring setup organized as your project grows. `list_categories` ensures you always know which buckets exist. It's a simple way to keep your site inventory clean and searchable.

Setup guide

Set up Fluxguard MCP in Windsurf

Prerequisites

  • Windsurf IDE installed (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP configuration

Click the Cascade assistant icon in the sidebar, then click the hammer icon (🔨) at the top of the panel. Select "Configure" to open ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json.

  2. 2

    Add the Fluxguard MCP

Paste the JSON snippet shown on the right into the mcpServers object. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Refresh MCPs

Go back to the hammer icon (🔨) in Cascade and click "Refresh". Windsurf will detect the new server. No full restart is needed — the connection is hot-reloaded.

  4. 4

    Verify in Cascade

Start a new Cascade conversation and ask something like "Show my Fluxguard payment history." If connected, Cascade will call the Fluxguard tools directly. You will see a green dot next to the server name in the MCP panel.
