How to Use the Foursquare MCP in Cursor
Inject live location data into your codebase using Cursor and the Foursquare MCP server.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Foursquare MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Foursquare to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Search places directly within Cursor
Call `search_places` and `autocomplete_venues` to populate your code with real POI data. The agent generates the logic based on live responses instead of static mocks. This keeps your codebase clean and accurate. You get the exact schema returned by the API, allowing for better type safety in your implementation.
Extract venue details inside Cursor
Use `get_place_details` to pull specific properties like address and rating into your source code. This is useful for building features that require live data feeds. Your agent can iterate over the results and write the necessary functions to handle the data objects. It saves you from manual data entry and formatting.
Filter venues by location in Cursor
Run `search_within_radius` to scope your venue search to a specific area while you code. You can pass coordinates directly from your project files. This helps you test location-based logic in real-time. The server handles the geometry parsing, so you only deal with the returned list of venues.
