Share exact math tools across your engineering team
The `calculate_percentage` tool provides a unified way for your team to calculate ratios and percentage splits inside VS Code Copilot. By committing the MCP config to your repository, every developer gets access to the same local math tools. This prevents different team members from getting conflicting calculations from their agents. The tool runs locally on each machine, returning identical, deterministic results across the entire workspace.
Resolve proportionality rules in your workspace
The `calculate_rule_of_three` tool allows your agent to solve proportional scaling equations directly inside your editor. VS Code Copilot uses this tool when refactoring layout engines, calculating aspect ratios, or managing database scaling factors. This local MCP integration ensures your calculations are always accurate. It cuts out the latency of external web searches, delivering precise numbers to your terminal or active file in milliseconds.
Run fast exponents and square roots locally
The `calculate_power` and `calculate_square_root` tools handle complex algebraic operations directly within your editing environment. Your agent uses these tools to generate accurate algorithm mockups and configuration constants. Because the math is executed locally, your developer environment remains secure and offline-capable. You do not have to worry about network latency or rate limits when running heavy calculations.
