How to Use the FutureVault MCP in Cursor
Give Cursor direct access to your FutureVault infrastructure to write code against live vault data.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect FutureVault MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect FutureVault to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject live vault data
The `list_digital_vaults` tool feeds real vault IDs directly into the code you are writing. Agent mode grabs the live data instead of hallucinating useless mock arrays. When you write a script to process client files, the agent calls `get_vault_details` to pull the actual configuration. You build integrations faster because you are working with real system states.
FutureVault MCP Server integration
The `get_document_metadata` tool fetches file IDs, creation dates, and tags straight from your live environment. Cursor uses this to populate your API request payloads accurately. If your code needs to iterate over files, the agent runs `list_folder_documents` to grab an exact list of items in that directory. It stops you from guessing file paths and breaking your build.
Prototype access control
The `list_system_roles` tool retrieves the exact permission structures active in your account. You can code authorization logic based on real roles rather than reading outdated API docs. Cursor tests the logic by calling `get_member_details` and `get_my_identity` to verify user states. You verify the connection works right in the editor using `verify_api_connection`.
