How to Use the Geekbot MCP in Windsurf
Let Windsurf's Cascade agent handle your daily check-ins and pull team updates autonomously.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Geekbot MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Geekbot to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Windsurf chains your daily updates
Cascade doesn't need you to hold its hand. Tell your IDE you want to post your morning update, and the MCP Server handles the rest. It pulls your active workspace data using `get_user_profile` and grabs the right format with `get_standup_details`. You keep coding. Cascade drafts your status based on your recent commits and fires it off via `submit_standup_report`. No context switching to Slack. No breaking your flow state.
Read the room without leaving the editor
Sometimes you need to know what the rest of the engineering team is working on before you push a massive refactor. Instead of scrolling through endless Teams channels, just ask your agent. It hits `list_standup_reports` to grab the latest updates from your squad. If you need to filter by a specific developer who usually breaks things, the tool handles that too. You get a clean summary right in your editor panel.
Map out team availability
Timezones are a nightmare for distributed teams. Before you tag someone for a code review, you need to know if they are actually online or asleep. By calling `list_team_members`, the integration pulls the current roster. You instantly see who is around to help unblock you without opening another browser tab.
