How to Use the GiveForms MCP in Cline
Cline builds your donation dashboards by executing GiveForms tools to fetch and format live records.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect GiveForms MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect GiveForms to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
End-to-end data retrieval for Cline
Tell Cline to build a summary of recent activity and it will automatically call `list_recent_donations`. It parses the JSON response to generate components or update your docs. It executes the logic, writes the necessary code, and saves the file. You watch the agent do the work in real-time.
Deep dive into specific donor records
Cline uses `get_donation_details` to pull granular info on any transaction. It takes the ID you provide and fetches the full metadata from your account. This lets you create custom views or debug reconciliation issues without manual lookups. The agent handles the back-and-forth with the API.
Validate GiveForms connectivity instantly
Cline can check the connection status with `verify_api_connection` before starting a complex task. It ensures the environment is ready for data operations. If the connection fails, the agent stops and alerts you. It prevents partial builds caused by expired keys or network issues.
