Connect Glama MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Glama to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Let Cline find and install new MCP servers
When you ask Cline to build a feature requiring an external API, it queries `glama_list_mcp_servers` to locate a matching MCP server. It then pulls down the exact parameters with `glama_get_mcp_server_info`. Cline can then modify your local settings file to install the new server. Bypassing manual configuration becomes easy because the agent reads `glama_get_mcp_attributes` to configure the tool parameters correctly.
Proxy Cline tasks through the Glama gateway
Cline can execute complex, multi-step coding jobs by querying `glama_get_gateway_models` to see which LLMs are available. It then routes specific sub-tasks through `glama_run_gateway_chat`. By analyzing model details via `glama_get_gateway_model_details`, Cline matches the job difficulty to the right model. This keeps your local token costs down while maintaining code quality.
Connect Cline to your private hosted servers
If your team hosts private tools, Cline uses `glama_get_hosted_instances` to locate and connect to them securely. This lets the agent write code using your proprietary internal APIs. Once the task is complete, Cline reports execution success using `glama_send_telemetry`. You get clear visibility into which private servers are actually delivering value during coding sessions.
