How to Use the Glassnode (On-chain Data) MCP in Cursor
Inject real-time Glassnode metrics directly into your Cursor agent to write trading algorithms with live on-chain data.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Glassnode (On-chain Data) MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Glassnode (On-chain Data) to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate Code with Live Glassnode Metrics in Cursor
The `get_metric` tool feeds live time-series data directly into Cursor's Composer mode, letting your agent write scripts using actual market values. You no longer write code with placeholder data or outdated hardcoded arrays. This active integration lets the editor write, test, and debug scripts using live exchange inflows or active address counts. Your agent adjusts the code structure based on the actual shape of the incoming JSON payload.
Explore Asset Coverage with this MCP Server
This MCP Server uses `list_assets` to pull the complete roster of supported tokens directly into your editor's sidebar. Your Cursor agent references this list to build dynamic asset filters inside your trading scripts. The `get_metric_details` tool provides the exact parameters and data types for each metric. Your agent writes typed interfaces and database schemas that match the Glassnode API specification perfectly.
Build Accurate Backtesting Engines in Cursor
Use `get_pit_metric` to inject historical, point-in-time data snapshots directly into your testing files. Cursor writes backtesting logic using the exact data available at that historical block, eliminating look-ahead bias. The `get_bulk_metric` tool retrieves multi-asset historical data for comparative testing. Your agent writes vector-based calculations to process these bulk arrays, speeding up your local strategy validation.
