…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect GoatCounter MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect GoatCounter to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject live traffic data into your code
The GoatCounter MCP server feeds real-time traffic statistics directly into your active editor session using `get_stats_hits`. Your agent pulls active pageview counts to write dynamic dashboard components based on live numbers. Use `get_stats_page` to fetch specific breakdowns like browser types or operating systems. This lets your agent generate realistic mock data or optimize UI code for your actual audience profiles.
Automate site provisioning with Cursor
This MCP server lets Cursor handle your tracking setup using `create_site` and `update_site` during development. When spinning up a new project, your agent can register the site with your analytics provider automatically. Verify the registration succeeded by calling `list_sites` or retrieving details with `get_site`. You never have to leave your code editor to configure tracking for a new staging environment.
Track local development events directly
Run `count_hits` to dispatch test events and pageviews from your local runtime straight to your analytics dashboard. This makes it easy to test custom event tracking setups before deploying code to production. Confirm the events went through by calling `get_stats_total` inside your chat sidebar. You get immediate feedback on whether your tracking tags are firing correctly.
