Pipe phone transcripts to terminal utilities

The `get_transcript` tool outputs raw text logs of customer calls directly to your shell. When running Claude Code, you can grep through transcripts to find specific keywords or pipe the output into local analysis scripts. It turns voice interactions into standard command-line data. This MCP Server allows you to build bash scripts that run cron jobs to audit calls. You can schedule nightly checks to ensure your virtual agents are handling queries correctly.

Monitor system health via this MCP Server

The `check_goodcall_status` tool verifies that your telephony integration is active and responding. Claude Code runs this check as part of your deployment pipelines or system monitoring scripts. If the status check fails, you can trigger automated alerts to your DevOps channels. It keeps your phone infrastructure integrated with your standard uptime monitoring.

Bulk update agents using Claude Code

The `update_agent` tool allows you to modify system prompts and receptionist behavior via terminal commands. Instead of clicking through a web GUI, you feed Claude Code a local markdown file and let it update your agents in bulk. Using `list_calls_by_agent`, you can quickly verify which agents are taking the most traffic before applying updates. It gives backend developers complete programmatic control over voice workflows.

Common questions about Goodcall MCP in Claude Code

Run `claude mcp add --transport http goodcall-mcp -- ` in your terminal. This registers the 13 tools, allowing you to query call logs and manage agents from the command line.
Yes, you can use `get_analytics` to fetch call metrics and pipe the JSON output directly to local files. This makes it easy to generate CSV reports or feed data into database loaders.
You ask the tool to run `list_missed_calls` to output a list of unanswered phone numbers. You can then pipe this list into curl commands to trigger SMS follow-ups.
Use `get_call_summary` with the specific call ID. The tool outputs a clean text summary directly inside your terminal session.
Call logs from `list_calls` are fetched via secure token-based authentication. The server runs in a zero-trust MCP environment where session data is destroyed immediately after execution, preventing leakages of sensitive caller metadata.
