Inject live air data into Cursor code

Feed current AQI metrics into your logic using `get_current_air_quality`. The agent uses the actual API response to write code that reacts to real-world pollution levels. No more hardcoded stubs or fake data. Your functions will handle live environmental variables the moment they are generated.

Analyze historical environmental data in Cursor

Call `get_air_quality_history` to test your features against a range of past air quality scenarios. It lets you simulate how your app behaves during varying levels of particulate matter. This ensures your UI and logic handle edge cases properly before you ever ship to production.

Run this MCP server within your editor

Define the server in your project-specific or global config file to keep your environment setup clean. It plugs into the agent mode so you can prompt for environmental data while you type. This MCP server gives your agent context that standard code analysis simply cannot reach on its own.

Common questions about Google Air Quality MCP in Cursor

By using the provided tools, the agent writes code that consumes real-time data from the API. This ensures your application logic is built on actual environmental conditions instead of assumptions.
Yes, once configured, the agent can monitor the environmental data and incorporate logic into your codebase that triggers alerts based on specific pollutant thresholds.
You control the agent's behavior through your prompts. Because the tools are explicitly invoked, you determine exactly when and how often the data is fetched.
The server accesses only the geographic coordinates you define in your code. It does not touch your source files, environment variables, or any other project data.
Your endpoint tokens are handled locally within your configured environment. The server operates in an ephemeral sandbox, ensuring your credentials are not exposed during the interaction.
