How to Use the Gotify MCP in Cursor
Trigger Gotify notifications and manage API clients directly from Cursor while you write and debug code.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Gotify MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Gotify to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Send build alerts with the Gotify MCP Server
The `send_message` tool lets your agent trigger live notifications to your phone or desktop while you run local test suites inside Cursor. You tell the agent to run a test run and ping you via Gotify when the compilation completes. This keeps you focused on your code instead of constantly switching windows to check terminal progress. Your agent handles the payload formatting and priority levels automatically.
Manage developer client keys in Cursor
The `create_client` and `get_clients` tools let you provision API access for new debugging environments directly from the editor. You ask your agent to generate a client token, and it injects the resulting credentials straight into your local environment files. If you need to revoke access, the `delete_client` tool handles it immediately. This workflow eliminates the need to open a browser and click through administrative panels during active development.
Audit application tokens during code refactoring
The `get_applications` and `update_application` tools give your agent deep visibility into your active notification channels via this MCP Server. You can audit which tokens your code uses and update their descriptions or names directly from the Cursor chat panel. When old services are retired, you run `delete_application` to clean up your server configuration. This keeps your notification infrastructure clean and secure as your codebase evolves.
