…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Harvest MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Harvest to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automate Harvest client setups with Cline
The `create_client` tool adds new customer profiles directly to your Harvest account via Cline. This Harvest tool sets up the foundational record so your Cline team can start billing immediately. You don't have to open a browser tab to add a new account to your Harvest setup in Cline. Cline uses this Harvest tool to register accounts the moment you finish a project setup. You tell the Cline agent to onboard a Harvest client, and it executes the API call inside VS Code.
Verify Harvest billing logs using Cline MCP Server
The `list_time_entries` tool fetches all logged hours from Harvest directly into your Cline session. It retrieves the exact time blocks, dates, and developer notes from Harvest for Cline to analyze. Cline analyzes these Harvest logs to verify that every hour is accounted for. The Cline agent flags unbilled Harvest blocks so you never lose track of billable work.
Draft Harvest invoices from your codebase with Cline
The `create_invoice` tool generates draft bills in Harvest based on your logged project hours in Cline. It maps the Harvest client ID and line items to a fresh invoice draft inside Cline. Cline builds the payload by running `list_projects` and matching it to your active Harvest logs. The Cline agent compiles the Harvest invoice and presents the draft directly in your sidebar using this MCP setup.
