How to Use the HashiCorp Vault MCP in Cursor

Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect HashiCorp Vault MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect HashiCorp Vault to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automate credential generation in Cursor
Generate dynamic credentials on the fly while coding. Use `generate_aws_creds` or `generate_database_creds` to get temporary access that expires automatically. Your code gets real, working tokens that you can test immediately. It removes the need for hardcoded static secrets in your local environment.
Encrypt data inside Cursor
Use the Transit engine to handle sensitive fields in your application code. The AI can call `encrypt_transit` to secure data before it ever hits your database. It makes implementing Encryption as a Service trivial. You just define the key and let the tool handle the heavy lifting.
Configure auth methods from Cursor
Set up your environment by running `configure_kubernetes_auth` or `configure_aws_root` directly from your editor. You can define your security posture without switching windows. Keep your infrastructure as code. Use these tools to update policies via `create_acl_policy` as your application requirements evolve.
