Audit construction jobs inside your IDE

The `list_jobs` tool retrieves your complete active project list from HCSS. Cline uses this endpoint to pull project codes, check operational status, and draft local summaries. You can ask the agent to build a local interface displaying this data. It writes the code, imports the endpoints, and tests the layout without manual intervention.

Cross-reference active crews with Cline

The `list_employees` tool pulls your synced personnel roster directly into your workspace. Cline reads this list and matches it against `list_timecards` to verify crew allocations. This setup lets you build custom validation scripts. You can catch missing timecards or duplicate entries before sending the data to payroll.

Build cost tracking tools with this MCP Server

The `list_cost_codes` tool exposes your corporate cost structure to the agent. Cline reads these codes to build local budget-tracking components that match your accounting rules. This workflow ensures your custom tools stay aligned with corporate standards. No more manual data entry or copy-pasting code lists.

Common questions about HCSS MCP in Cline

Cline acts as an autonomous operator inside VS Code. It executes tools like list_jobs to fetch live data and then writes files or runs tests based on that information.
Yes. You can instruct Cline to write a React or Vue component that visualizes your live project estimates. It will generate the code and wire up the MCP Server.
Open the Cline sidebar, click the MCP icon, and add the server configuration. You can also edit your local settings file directly to establish the connection.
Yes. The server includes list_equipment and get_equipment_meters to let you analyze runtime hours and fuel usage directly within your workspace.
Absolutely. All personnel records and hours are transmitted over encrypted channels. The server runs in a zero-trust environment, meaning sensitive timecard details never persist on Vinkius servers.
