How to Use the Heap MCP in Cline
Build production-ready Heap tracking pipelines and verify user cohorts directly from Cline without leaving your editor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Heap MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Heap to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Link Anonymous Sessions inside Cline
`identify_user` connects untracked visitor sessions to registered Heap customer accounts during Cline integration tests in VS Code. Cline runs this tool to verify that your login flows stitch historical Heap data correctly. You do not need to trigger mock requests in your browser to check the registration pipeline when Cline is managing the test.
Validate Active Heap Segments with Cline
`get_segments` pulls your active marketing cohorts from Heap directly into the Cline sidebar. Your Cline agent checks this list to ensure your feature flags target the correct customer groups. You avoid shipping broken conditional logic in VS Code because the tool verifies the Heap segment names first.
Track Events Instantly with this Cline MCP Server
`track_event` sends custom backend signals directly from your active VS Code workspace using this MCP Server. Cline writes the tracking wrapper, invokes the tool to send a test event to Heap, and confirms the ingestion succeeded. You get immediate feedback inside Cline on whether your payload matches the expected Heap schema.
