Run Hexomatic workflows from your terminal

The `run_workflow` tool allows Claude Code to execute any scraping job directly from the command line interface. You can pipe a list of URLs from a local text file straight into the agent to trigger bulk processing. This headless execution is perfect for shell scripts and terminal-based setups. You get full control over your scraping pipeline without ever opening a web browser.

Monitor API credit usage via Claude Code

The `get_account_usage` tool checks your remaining automation credits and current plan limits directly from the shell. Your agent can run this check before launching large-scale scraping jobs to prevent unexpected failures. It keeps your terminal-based automation loops safe from billing overages. You can easily build cron jobs that halt if your credit balance drops below a specific threshold.

Search your scrapers using this MCP Server

The `search_workflows` tool queries your entire workflow library using text-based filters directly from the terminal prompt. Claude Code quickly finds the exact workflow ID you need based on your search query. Combining this with `list_workflows` gives you a quick, terminal-friendly view of your active pipelines. You do not have to hunt down IDs or leave your terminal window to manage your configurations.

Common questions about Hexomatic MCP in Claude Code

Run the `claude mcp add` command with the transport flag set to http, followed by your Vinkius endpoint URL. Ensure all flags are placed before the server name in your command.
Yes, you can. Claude Code retrieves the data using `get_workflow_results` and can write it directly to stdout or pipe it to tools like jq and grep.
Use `get_execution_logs` to fetch the real-time status of your running job. Your terminal agent will poll this endpoint to let you know when the scraping run finishes.
Yes, the `update_workflow_status` tool lets you activate or deactivate workflows directly. This is highly useful for managing scheduled jobs from your terminal.
Absolutely. Your account usage metrics, workflow configurations, and API keys are protected using Vinkius's secure sandboxing. The terminal client communicates directly with the API over encrypted HTTPS connections, leaving zero persistent traces.
