Fix bugs using Hotjar recordings in Cursor
The `list_recordings` tool feeds real Hotjar user session data directly to your Cursor agent so you can write code that addresses actual user friction. By calling `get_recording`, you inspect specific Hotjar issues in the editor to see exactly where your code failed a visitor in Cursor. Your Cursor agent writes code changes based on this Hotjar behavioral data rather than relying on mock data or guesswork. Developers no longer need to leave their Cursor code editor to find out why users are failing to submit your Hotjar-tracked forms.
Pull Hotjar feedback to guide Cursor code generation
The `list_surveys` tool brings direct Hotjar user feedback into your Cursor Composer session to guide your next feature build. To verify if Hotjar users are complaining about a specific UI component, your Cursor agent calls `get_survey_stats` and `list_survey_responses`. This workflow lets your Cursor editor write components that solve documented Hotjar user pain points. Feeding raw Hotjar survey feedback straight into your active Cursor prompt helps you generate precise code fixes.
Match Cursor code with Hotjar MCP Server heatmaps
The `list_heatmaps` tool retrieves visual Hotjar click data directly into your Cursor chat to help you optimize CSS layouts. After getting the Hotjar heatmap data using `get_heatmap`, your Cursor agent can restructure your HTML elements to place buttons where users actually click. This integration lets you write frontend code in Cursor while referencing real Hotjar click density. View exactly which layout changes will improve Hotjar conversions without leaving your active Cursor workspace.
