Pipe HRBlade candidate lists directly to shell tools

The `list_candidates` tool outputs raw applicant data that you can pipe directly to grep, jq, or local shell scripts inside Claude Code. This allows terminal-bound developers to filter active applicants without opening a browser. You can quickly find specific resumes or filter candidates by application date. Claude Code handles the API query and hands the clean output straight to your command line.

Script automated interview invites via CLI

Your terminal agent executes `send_interview_invitation` to trigger candidate assessments directly from your command line. You can script this tool to run after a successful git push to automate technical screens for new contributors. This integrates your hiring flow with your development cycle. Claude Code fires the invite, verifies the API response, and logs the confirmation in your terminal history.

Audit interview templates using terminal commands

The `list_interviews` tool retrieves your active evaluation templates directly into your terminal session. Claude Code lets you diff different interview structures using standard command-line utilities. This makes it easy to track changes to your hiring criteria over time. You run one command to view the active templates, identify old questions, and push updates instantly.

Common questions about HRBlade MCP in Claude Code

Run the command `claude mcp add --transport http hrblade-mcp -- ` in your terminal. This registers the server in your local `~/.claude.json` configuration file.
Yes, Claude Code executes `get_candidate_details` headlessly, making it perfect for SSH sessions or remote terminal environments. You get fast, text-based applicant profiles without any GUI overhead.
You can trigger `send_interview_invitation` by running Claude Code commands in your GitHub Actions or custom deployment scripts. This lets you auto-invite candidates as soon as they pass initial automated filters using the active MCP connection.
The `create_interview` tool accepts a JSON string, which Claude Code automatically escapes and packages before transmission. You don't have to worry about manual terminal escaping issues.
Your candidate details retrieved via `list_candidates` are processed through Vinkius's zero-trust, ephemeral isolates. No applicant data or contact information is ever stored on disk or leaked through terminal telemetry.
