How to Use the Hyperbrowser (Web Infra for AI) MCP in AutoGen
Coordinate multi-agent browser automation and consensus-driven scraping in AutoGen using Hyperbrowser.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Hyperbrowser (Web Infra for AI) MCP to AutoGen
Create your Vinkius account to connect Hyperbrowser (Web Infra for AI) to AutoGen and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Multi-agent browser session coordination
The `create_session` tool allows your AutoGen coordinator to spin up a dedicated browser instance that multiple specialized agents can access. For example, a research agent can navigate the page while a security agent calls `get_session` to monitor proxy health and session duration. Because AutoGen relies on agent conversations, one agent can propose a JS interaction, while another executes it via `run_script` and returns the output to the group. This collaborative approach ensures complex automation scripts are verified by multiple perspectives before running.
Consensus-driven extraction via AutoGen and MCP Server
The `extract_data` tool lets an AutoGen extraction agent pull structured JSON from a dynamic page and present it to a critic agent. The critic agent can verify the schema accuracy and, if needed, instruct a browser agent to fetch more raw HTML using `page_content`. This loop ensures the extracted data is highly accurate before it gets written to your database. By delegating the heavy rendering to the MCP Server, your agents focus entirely on analyzing the extracted data.
Asynchronous task delegation in agent swarms
The `start_scrape` tool enables an AutoGen manager agent to dispatch long-running scraping tasks to the background without blocking the conversation flow. Other agents can continue discussing strategy or processing existing data while a designated checker agent polls `get_scrape_job`. Once the checker agent receives the completed payload, it injects it back into the AutoGen group chat. If a job fails, the manager agent can run `list_sessions` and `stop_session` to clean up resources and spin up a fresh attempt.
Set up Hyperbrowser (Web Infra for AI) MCP in AutoGen
Prerequisites
- Python 3.10+ installed
-
autogen-ext[mcp]package - Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
- 1
Install AutoGen with MCP
Run
pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includesmcp_server_toolsfor stateless tool access. - 2
Fetch tools from the MCP
Call
mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...))with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. - 3
Run your agent
Pass the tools to
AssistantAgentand callagent.run(). The agent invokes Hyperbrowser (Web Infra for AI) tools and returns structured results.
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient
server_params = SseServerParams(
url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)
tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)
agent = AssistantAgent(
name="Hyperbrowser (Web Infra for AI)_assistant",
model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
tools=tools,
)
result = await agent.run("List recent Hyperbrowser (Web Infra for AI) data")
print(result.messages[-1].content) Prerequisites
- Python 3.10+ installed
-
autogen-ext[mcp]+autogen-agentchat - Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
- 1
Install dependencies
Same packages as above.
McpWorkbenchis ideal when your agent needs stateful sessions across multiple tool calls. - 2
Use McpWorkbench as context manager
Wrap your agent in
async with McpWorkbench(...)to maintain shared state and resources. The workbench manages the full MCP session lifecycle. - 3
Run with workbench
Pass
workbench=workbenchto your agent. State is preserved across multiple tool calls within the same session.
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import McpWorkbench, SseServerParams
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient
server_params = SseServerParams(
url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)
async with McpWorkbench(server_params) as workbench:
agent = AssistantAgent(
name="Hyperbrowser (Web Infra for AI)_assistant",
model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
workbench=workbench,
)
result = await agent.run("List recent Hyperbrowser (Web Infra for AI) data")
print(result.messages[-1].content) Independent Platform Disclaimer: Vinkius is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, verified by, or otherwise authorized by Hyperbrowser.
